The Toledo Chapter of Infragard is holding a session for members and non-members concerning active shooters and other similar circumstances. This will be a smaller session and available to the first 30 to register.
Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Because active shooter situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter situation. Our speaker at this presentation is from the FBI Cleveland Division-RA Sandusky and provides these presentations throughout Ohio.

The Toledo Area Alliance of InfraGard (www.toledoinfragard.org) is sponsoring a tabletop exercise and would like you to participate. A tabletop exercise involves a diverse group of government and industry professionals in an informal setting, discussing a simulated situation. The intention of this type of exercise is to stimulate discussion of various issues regarding a hypothetical situation. The information gathered can be used to assess plans, policies, and procedures or to assess types of systems needed to guide the prevention of, response to, and recovery from a defined event. Tabletop exercises are typically aimed at facilitating an understanding of concepts, identifying strengths and shortfalls, and/or achieving a change in attitude. Participants are encouraged to discuss issues in depth and develop decisions through slow-paced problem solving rather than the rapid, spontaneous decision making that occurs under actual or simulated emergency conditions.
